Greta Thunberg (Special Edition doll)

Greetings!

I'm sure you are aware of the little firecracker
Greta Thunberg who is raising awareness about
the Climate crisis. I love her image and how she conducts
herself in interviews with such maturity.
So I thought I'd sew a Special Edition
Greta OOAK doll.

Greta Thunberg
(meaning of Greta: Pearl)
School strike for climate sign along with Greta.

She was only 15 years old when she took a brave step.

Her dress, tights and shoes are made from recycled garments.

Woolly hat and plaits!

She seems to always carry a rucksack with her.

Two of her speeches that are folded up and kept in her bag.

She'll be at my stall this Friday from 3pm to around midnight at
Torba Farmers Market which has changed it's timings to
coincide with QIFF (Qatar International Food Festival).

Coraline

Greetings!

Have you read the book 'Coraline' by Neil Gaiman?
Or perhaps you've seen the movie directed by Henry Selick ?

Well my next damsel is based on the movie version.
She has an interesting, quirky look to her.

Coraline
(meaning: diminutive of Coral)
Coat made from felt.

Her dragonfly pin.

With creepy doll.

Torba tomorrow (Sat. 23rd)

3 Special Edition damsels!

Greetings!

Been occupied with 3 Special Edition
dolls for you. Look at these beauties
mashaAllah!

That's right, these damsels LOVE dressing up
as mermaids!

First meet...

Sireen
(meaning: mermaid)
Tail off...

...tail on!

I adore her wool dreads.

Sweet face.

Close up of her tail.

Now meet her friend...

Jumaana
(meaning: silver pearl)

Look at all that hair.
It takes a while separating each strand of wool,
but it really is worth it!

Adorable!

and finally meet their friend...

Safina
(meaning: ship)

Her hair reminds me of coral.

So there you have it.

They'll be waiting for new homes tomorrow at
Torba Farmers Market from 8am to 6pm.
