Belle

Salaam/Peace everyone!

Been AWOL for a while but I have a real beauty for you.

Belle
(meaning: a beautiful girl or woman)
Been wanting to make her for a while.

So happy to have completed her.

Lovely curls!

Handstitched golden shoes.

Love the fabric and embroidery.

Of course a rose had to be included somewhere!

Hope you like her as much as I do!

Sneaky Peek

Can you guess who I'm making?

So Torba Market has sadly ended, but the good news is,
it will be back in November!

I will, as usual, be slowly working on a new collection
of Little Damsels and be uploading them once
completed. Do check back and see what I've
come up with. If you need to contact me then do

Clara

One of my daughters recommended I watch
The Nutcracker & The Four Realms last week.
She said I could get inspired by the costumes worn by
the lead actress. She wasn't wrong!

Clara
(meaning: bright, shining, clear)

She'll be on sale tomorrow at my stall,
Friday 29th March.

Hope to see you there!

Greta Thunberg (Special Edition doll)

Greetings!

I'm sure you are aware of the little firecracker
Greta Thunberg who is raising awareness about
the Climate crisis. I love her image and how she conducts
herself in interviews with such maturity.
So I thought I'd sew a Special Edition
Greta OOAK doll.

Greta Thunberg
(meaning of Greta: Pearl)
School strike for climate sign along with Greta.

She was only 15 years old when she took a brave step.

Her dress, tights and shoes are made from recycled garments.

Woolly hat and plaits!

She seems to always carry a rucksack with her.

Two of her speeches that are folded up and kept in her bag.

She'll be at my stall this Friday from 3pm to around midnight at
Torba Farmers Market which has changed it's timings to
coincide with QIFF (Qatar International Food Festival).

Coraline

Greetings!

Have you read the book 'Coraline' by Neil Gaiman?
Or perhaps you've seen the movie directed by Henry Selick ?

Well my next damsel is based on the movie version.
She has an interesting, quirky look to her.

Coraline
(meaning: diminutive of Coral)
Coat made from felt.

Her dragonfly pin.

With creepy doll.
